Fresh veg juice is healthy & delicious

“All the nutrients that the human body requires are present in balanced quantities in fresh fruits and vegetables. And these can be used by our bodies only when they are consumed as part of the whole food in which they occur. Juices are the next best thing to the whole food, being merely a liquid extract of the whole food.”

(Harvey Diamond – Fit for Life)

Juicing is a valuable part of a healthy lifestyle and provides the body with a high concentration of vitamins, minerals, amino acids and enzymes in a form that is easy for the body to assimilate.

The human body is regenerative by nature and is constantly repairing and regenerating itself, but does need an adequate supply of nutrients to carry out this process effectively. Drinking freshly extracted vegetable juice is a fast and effective way of getting these vital nutrients to the body in a form that is easy to absorb.

How do you get juicing?

To make fresh veg and fruit juice, you will need a good juicer. A juicer extracts the juice from fruit and veg. It expels the nutrient rich juice into one container, and the left over pulp into another. The nutrients are in the juice and the pulp has been stripped of the nutrition and is basically empty fiber. You drink the juice and throw the pulp (empty fiber) onto your compost heap or wormery as recyclable waste matter.

Choosing a good juicer is important

A good juicer will extract good amounts of nutrients. There is little point in going to the time and expense of juicing and then to use a poor juicer that doesn’t extract the nutrients from the fruits and vegetables. Other points to consider when investing in a juicer is that it should be  easy to use, easy to clean and have a strong motor so that it doesn’t burn out after a few months or years of use.

We have selected a few juicers that we find really great and they are all available from our shopping cart with nationwide delivery. We are always more than happy to answer all your questions via email or telephone too.
