Try This Delicious Healthy Chocolate Chia Milk!

 IMG_1865 Chia milk is loaded with calcium! Two tablespoons of Chia seed contain more calcium than one glass of cows milk! Chia is also one of the highest plant based Omega 3 sources, outperforming flax seed. It is loaded with antioxidants that naturally preserve the sensitive Omega 3 oils as well as providing anti-aging benefits. Chia seeds have excellent anti-inflammatory properties, stabilise blood sugar and soothe the digestive tract. They are great for strength and endurance too. No wonder Chia seeds are classed as a superfood! Blend up a healthy chocolate Chia milk with this easy recipe:


 Ingredients: (Serving size: 2 – 3 glasses)


3 Tbsp Chia Seeds

3 Cups Water

1/2  Cup ice

1/3 Cup Almonds (soaked overnight, soak water discarded)

2 – 3 Tbsp Maple Syrup

4 Tbsp Cacao Powder

1/8 tsp Sea Salt










  1. Soak the Chia Seeds in a jar with the 3 cups of water overnight.  Stir or shake them a few times before you go to bed so that the seeds don’t clump together.
  2. The next morning, pour the Chia/water mixture into a super blender and add all other ingredients.
  3. Blend all the ingredients together for approximately 1 minute, until well blended and smooth.
  4. Leave it to settle for a few minutes and then spoon off most of the foam that rises to the top.
  5. Drink immediately or store it in the fridge as milk (it tastes best and creamiest when cold).
  6. Shake well before serving if stored.


*Tip:  Add Maca Powder for a malty taste and added nutritional benefits.
